PolAir tracks stolen car after Gilles Plains break-in

It will be alleged that about 4.30am today (Monday 16 September), police were called to a house in Milbank Avenue after reports that three males had broken into the victim’s house armed with weapons. The suspects stole cash and other items.

They fled the scene in a stolen Jeep station wagon driven by a fourth person. The car had been stolen from a North Adelaide house on Wednesday 11 September.

No one was injured.

PolAir tracked the vehicle as is travelled towards the city on North East Road then south through the eastern suburbs.

It then headed west on Greenhill Road and Anzac Highway before heading south on Main South Road, where road spikes were used successfully at St. Marys.

The car continued south on the Southern Expressway before being dumped in the carpark of a hotel at Darlington.

Police Dogs Axe and Enzo were called to the scene to help patrols search for the four suspects who were located near Flagstaff Road and Elly Court.

A 17-year-old Elizabeth Grove boy, a 16-year-old Gilles Plains boy, and two 15-year-old boys from Pooraka and Holden Hill will face numerous charges including aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and engaging in a police pursuit.
