Update: Police seeking to identify two vehicles nearby to Seaton murder scene

Major Crime officers and Western District Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in relation to two vehicles seen nearby the Seaton murder overnight.

About 10.20pm on Tuesday 10 September, emergency services were called to Carey Avenue after reports a man had been stabbed in the stomach.

Ambulance officers assisted the man however he died at the scene.

The victim is a 19-year-old from the address.

Major Crime detectives, along with Detectives and uniformed personnel from the Western District as well as Forensic Officers have been at the scene for most of the day. Several yards, verges and streets were searched for evidence, and a quantity of items have been seized. It is unclear currently if any of these items are linked to this incident.

Carey Avenue was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Detectives are also looking to speak to the occupants of two vehicles which were seen nearby to the murder scene on Fidock Avenue around the time of the incident. The two vehicles are a small four door white coloured sedan with a rear hatch, similar to a Hyundai I30, and the other a dark coloured four door sedan, similar in appearance to an early model Ford.

Early this afternoon, Detectives attended at a Hectorville address and conducted a search of that premises where they located a shotgun. Subsequently a 19-year-old man from the address was arrested in relation to the firearm, and he has been charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing ammunition as well as other offences. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
