Update - Teens charged over serious assault at Elizabeth

Three teenagers have been charged following an assault at Elizabeth yesterday.

Just after 2.30pm on Wednesday 23 October, police were called to a shopping centre on Elizabeth Way following reports of a disturbance between a group of youths in the food court.

During the altercation, a boy was allegedly stabbed in the torso.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Police located the suspects nearby.

Three teenage boys have been arrested, 17-year-old from Salisbury East, a 16-year-old boy from Brahma Lodge and a 14-year-old from Elizabeth Vale

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with affray. The 16 and 17-year-old boys were charged with assault cause serious harm and affray.

All three were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today, Thursday 24 October 2024.

Police are investigating the incident and will review CCTV footage to identify other people involved in the incident.

There was no disruption caused to centres trading.
