Update - Driver arrested after crash at Cobdogla

About 1.30am on Sunday 6 April, police and emergency services were called to a private property on Spiller Road after reports a man had fallen from a Toyota ute.

Police arrived and found the front passenger, a 20-year-old man from the Waikerie area, had sustained serious injuries. He was air lifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following investigations, the driver of the ute was arrested.

A 21-year-old man from Waikerie was charged with causing serious harm by dangerous driving. He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 19 May.
