Update - Highway reopened after crash at Old Calperum

The Sturt Highway has reopened following a crash in the Riverland this afternoon.

At 12.30pm on Thursday 4 July, police were called to the Sturt Highway near Old Calperum after a Hyundai sedan and Toyota sedan collided.

Two Riverland women, aged 20 and 57, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sturt Highway was closed between Berri and Renmark while Riverland police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash but has now been reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the crash who hasn’t yet spoken with police is asked to come forward.
