A man has been charged following a fatal crash in the states South-East today.
About 8.45am today (Friday 14 March), emergency services were called to the Dukes Highway at Wirrega after reports that a silver Mitsubishi Pajero that had been travelling east lost control and rolled.
The driver, a 55-year-old Victorian man was not injured, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
His passenger, a 53-year-old Victorian woman sadly died at the scene.
Major Crash officers attended the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
About 4pm this afternoon the driver was arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He was bailed to appear at the Bordertown Magistrates Court on 26 March.
The road is expected to be cleared before 7pm.
The woman’s death is the 22nd life lost on South Australian roads this year.
