A man has been arrested following a stabbing at Crystal Brook last night.

About 8pm on Wednesday 18 September, police and emergency services were called to Giles Street after reports a man had been stabbed.

The victim, a 47-year-old man from the address, suffered multiple stab wounds to his torso.  He was taken to the local hospital before being transported to Adelaide in a critical condition.

About an hour later, a 53-year-old local man was arrested without incident.

He has been charged with attempt murder and will appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court today.
