A Bridgewater man has been arrested for extreme speed.

About 5.45 pm Wednesday 18 December, Police detected a red Volkswagen Golf sedan travelling at 106km/h in a 60 zone on Mount Barker Road at Leawood Gardens.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle but it failed to stop and travelled toward the South Eastern Freeway allegedly reaching a speed of 120km/h in a 60 zone before police lost sight of the vehicle.
