Drink driver asleep at the wheel

About 11pm on Monday 17 February, police were called to a service station on South Terrace at Strathalbyn after a witness reported a woman asleep behind the wheel of a white Ford Escape whilst it was still running.

Police attended and submitted the driver to a breath test where she provided a reading of 0.434.

The 41-year-old woman from Mannum, was reported for drink driving, she was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and her car was impounded for 28 days.  She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
