A man and woman have been arrested after drugs were found during a traffic stop at Nairne last night.
About 8.30am on Sunday 16 March, police conducted a traffic stop on a Holden sedan on the South Eastern Freeway, Nairne.
The driver was submitted to a roadside drug test where he allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis.
Police had cause to search the vehicle and located 1.9 kilograms of cannabis in four large vacuum sealed bags, prescription medication and magic mushrooms.
A 22-year-old man from Heathfield and a 21-year-old woman from Beverley were arrested and charged with commercial trafficking in a controlled drug. They were bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 24 April.
