Found jewellery box

Mount Barker Detectives are searching for the owner of a distinctive jewellery box.

About 4pm Saturday 15 June police stopped Subaru travelling on the South Eastern Freeway, Mount Barker, after it was clocked travelling at 146km/h in a 110km/h zone.

Police were able to stop the car and speak to the driver, a 42-year-old Murray Bridge man and issue him a expiation notice for speeding.

Police had cause to search the man’s car, inside locating a distinctive gold coloured jewellery box. Inside the jewellery box there were a number of collectable currency notes and a quantity of jewellery.

The jewellery box was seized, and police are appealing to the owners or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or phone 1800 333 000 – you can remain anonymous.
