Four people fined over speeding on the weekend

Four road users have been caught speeding in the Adelaide Hills area during the weekend.

About 10.30am on Saturday 1 March, a 22-year-old man from New South Wales was detected driving at 178km/h in a 110km/h on the South Eastern Freeway at Littlehampton. The driver was issued with an expiation notice for excessive speed and for driving an unregistered motor vehicle on a road totalling $2570 and nine demerit points.  He was also issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.

About 9.45am on Sunday 2 March, two motorcycles were detected by a speed camera travelling on South Para Road at Kersbrook at 153km/h and 142km/h in a 100km/h zone. A 69-year-old man from Craigmore was issued an expiation notice for $1997, nine demerit points and a six-month immediate loss of licence notice for six months. A 66-year-old man from Smithfield was issued an expiation notice for $1786 and seven demerit points.

At 11.27am on Sunday 2 March, a 27-year-old man from Tooperang was detected riding a motorcycle at 152km/h in a 100km/h zone at Brookman Road near Kuitpo. He was issued an expiation notice for $1997, nine demerit points and a six-month immediate loss of licence notice.
