19 Feb 2025 8:36pm

A teenager has lost his licence after being caught speed in excess of 60km/h in the Adelaide Hills.

About 4.30pm on Wednesday 19 February, police were conducting speed detections duties on South Eastern Freeway at Callington when they detected a white Mazda sedan travelling at 164km/h in a 110km/h zone.

Police stopped the car and spoke with the driver, a provisional licence holder.  The 18-year-old man from Woodside was reported for aggravated driving at an excessive speed.  A provisional licence condition includes not exceeding 100km/h even if the local speed limit exceeds 100km/h.  He was also issued a six-month immediate loss of licence.
