Pedestrian injured in crash at Port Elliot

A woman was struck by a car during a crash at Port Elliot this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of North Terrace and Charteris Street, Port Elliot about just before 3pm on Friday 19 July after a Holden ute and a Hyundai sedan collided at the intersection.

The collision sent one vehicle into a bus shelter, hitting a female pedestrian.

The 54-year-old Encounter Bay woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition.  Thankfully, her injuries are no longer considered life-threatening at this time.

Neither driver, a 19-year-old Sheidow Park woman and a 55-year-old Encounter Bay woman, was injured in the crash.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene to assist the investigation.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
