10 Dec 2024 6:04pm

A motorbike rider has been clocked more than double the speed limit at Kersbrook on the weekend.

On Sunday 8 December, a stationary traffic safety camera was operating on Kersbrook Road, when a BMW motorcycle was detected travelling at 168km/h in a 80km/h zone.

Following investigations, today (Tuesday 10 December) officers from the Traffic Support Branch attended the registered owners address and had a conversation with the rider.

The 42-year-old man from Wynn Vale was reported for extreme speed and was issued with a 12 month loss of licence and had his motorbike impounded.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
