ANZAC Day long weekend traffic on Limestone Coast

Limestone Coast Police were again out and about on the roads over the ANZAC Day long weekend.

Just before 12.30am on Friday 25 April, a 21-year-old Mount Gambier man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.106 when stopped on the Riddoch Highway at Mil-lel.  He was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of his P licence.  He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and will appear in court at a later date.

Just before 12.30am on Sunday 27 April, a 20-year-old Victorian man was stopped on Penola Road, Mount Gambier for a mobile driver test.  He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.086 and was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.  He was reported and will appear in court at a later date.  His car was impounded for 28 days.

About 2.45am on Sunday, a 17-year-old Mount Gambier boy was stopped on Cardinia Street, Mount Gambier for a mobile driver test.  He allegedly refused to submit to breath analysis and issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence.  He was reported for breaching the conditions of his P licence, driving without P plates, driving during curfew hours and failing to submit to breath analysis.  His car was impounded for 28 days and he will appear in the Youth Court at a later date.
