Information sought on crash and stolen ute

Police are investigating a crash and a stolen vehicle in Naracoorte which they suspect me be linked.

Sometime between Sunday 9 and Monday 10 February silver 2003 Ford Falcon station wagon, Victoria registration EJ999, was located crashed into trees on Gap Road, The Gap. Written in dust on the car was a note - 'I AM OK, NO PHONE, WALKING THAT WAY'. “That way” was west.

Sometime between Sunday 9 and Monday 10 February a white Nissan Navara ute, SA registration XTK490, was stolen from a property on Gap Road, The Gap, west of where the crash occurred. Police suspect that the incidents are linked and are trying to identify anyone involved in the crash.

Crime Scene Investigators attended both scenes to search for forensic evidence.
