Limestone Coast Traffic Wrap Up

The following traffic offenders have been caught in the Limestone Coast over the last week.

Just before 2pm, Monday 15 July, police stopped a car on Wehl Street North, Mount Gambier. The driver a 31-year-old man was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in his system. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence.

Just after 1.30pm, Tuesday 16 July, a 66-year-old man was stopped driving on North Terrace Mount Gambier. He was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in his system. His sample will be submitted to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.

Just before 11am, Wednesday 17 July, police stopped vehicle on Mcintosh St, Mount Gambier. The driver a 45- year- old man was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in his system. Checks on his licence showed he was disqualified from driving. He has been reported for traffic offences to face court at a later date.

Just before 1pm, Wednesday 17 July, police stopped a car on Wireless Rd East, Mount Gambier. The driver a 28-year-old man was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in his system. His sample will be submitted to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.

Just before 6pm, Thursday 18 July, police stopped a vehicle on Riddoch Hwy Penola. The driver a 52-year-old man was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with cannabis in his system. He was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence.

At 10pm Thursday 18 July, police stopped car on Wehl St North Mount Gambier. The driver a 41-year-old woman was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in her system. Her sample will be submitted to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.

Just before 11.30am, Friday 19 July police stopped a car on Alexander St, Tarpeena and breath tested the driver. The 38-year-old man returned a reading of 0.045. He also drug tested and returned a positive reading for methamphetamine. Checks on his licence showed he was driving unlicenced and. He was reported and will face court at a later date.

At 11.30am Friday 19 July, police stopped car on Orchard Road Moorak. The driver a 42-year-old woman was drug tested allegedly returning a positive reading for driving with methamphetamine in her system.  Her sample will be submitted to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.

Just after 8.45am, Monday 22 July police stopped a car on Gum Avenue Lucindale. The driver a 39-year -old woman was breath tested and returned a positive result of 0.123. She was reported and issued a 6-month instant loss of licence and her vehicle impounded.
