Crash at Monteith

Police are investigating a crash at Monteith last night.

About 8.50pm on Tuesday 25 march, police were called to the intersection of the Princes Highway and Old Princes Highway after a Toyota Kluger collided with a road train.

A passenger in the Toyota, a 28-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital in Adelaide for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Three other passengers and the truck driver were taken to the local hospital for assessment.

Eastbound lanes of the Princes Highway were closed while police investigated the crash but were reopened about 10.30pm.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman from Victoria was issued with an expiation notice for failing to give way.

Anyone with information on the crash who hasn’t yet spoken with police is asked to come forward.
