Drugs seized in the Riverland

Over the past few months, Riverland police have been running an operation targeting illicit drugs in the Murray Mallee.

From 1 February to Thursday 20 March, police have executed 19 search warrants at various addresses across the region.

As a result of these searches the following items have been seized;

  • 114 cannabis plants, 2.5 kilograms of dried cannabis, a large quantity prescribed equipment.
  • Four unregistered firearms and amount of methamphetamine and magic mushrooms.

Two people have been arrested and fourteen people from the Riverland have been reported for various offences relating to the cultivation of cannabis.

Five people have been issued expiation notices.
