A man has been arrested after assaulting two men in Barmera.

It will be alleged that about 11.55pm on Saturday 18 January, police and ambulance crews were called to a service station car park in Tonkin Avenue, after reports that a man had assaulted two other men using a pair of scissors.

The victims received minor wounds and were taken to hospital for treatment.

A 35-year-old Barmera man was arrested soon after and charged with two counts of aggravated assault causing serious harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on Monday.
