A driver has been arrested following an incident at Monash on Saturday.
About 3.30pm on Saturday 12 April, a man was involved in a verbal altercation with another person after driving through the Yamba quarantine station. The man then sped off at high speed.
A short time later, police located the man and his vehicle on Webber Road, Monash. The man refused to provide his details to police and refused to comply with directions to submit to a roadside breath test.
When officers placed the man under arrest, he violently resisted.
A 40-year-old man from Victoria was arrested and charged with refusing a roadside breath test, failing to submit to a breath analysis test and resisting arrest. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 2 June.
