A man has been charged with more child sex offences following his initial arrest last year.
On 19 December 2024, a 27-year-old man from the Riverland was arrested for facilitating a child to engage in sexual activity online and for breaching his reporting obligations. The man appeared in court and was remanded in custody.
Following an analysis of electronic equipment seized during the initial arrest, the man was subsequently arrested on 25 February 2025. He has been further charged with providing false or misleading information, further breaches of reporting obligations, and the dissemination and possession of child exploitation material.
He remains in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
Detective Chief Inspector Naomi Oberscheidt, Officer in Charge of the Offender Management Section says, “The possession of child abuse videos and images inflicts real harm and perpetuates the suffering of innocent victims.
