MMLSA Weekend traffic

Murray Malle Police have detected numerous drivers committing traffic offences over the weekend.

About 5.40 pm on Saturday 22 June, police stopped a driver on Matthews Street, Waikerie and submitted the driver to a breath test and returned a result of 0.148. The driver, a 47-year-old woman from Waikerie was reported for drink driving, issued a 6-month instant loss of licence and her vehicle was impounded. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. ​

About 2.40 am on Sunday 23 June, police stopped a driver on Twenty-eighth street and submitted the driver to a breath test and returned a result of 0.187. The driver, a 28-year-old Berry man was reported for drink driving and issued a 12-month loss of licence. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

About 6.30 am on Sunday 23 June, a vehicle was involved in a vehicle collision on East Murray Area School Road at Mindarie. Police attended the scene and the driver was submitted to a breath test and returned a result of 0.127. The driver, a 51-year-old Loxton woman was reported for drink driving and issued a 6-month instant loss of licence. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Between Friday 21 June and Monday 24 June, Murray Mallee Police have reported ten people on separate occasions whilst drug driving. Ten of these people receive da 3-month instant loss of licence, one person had their motor vehicle impounded and all will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
