Update - Two arrested over serious assault at Murray Bridge

Two suspects have been arrested following a serious assault at Murray Bridge yesterday afternoon.

Just before 3.45 pm, Thursday 27 June, police and paramedics were called to Gail Crescent after reports a man was assaulted with a baseball bat.

The victim, a 53-year-old Murray Bridge man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Adelaide for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.

Following investigations, police arrested a 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man over the incident.

The Murray Bridge pair have been charged with assault causing serious harm and refused bail. They will be appearing in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court today.
