Murray Mallee traffic offences

Murray Mallee Police detected the following traffic offences on Friday.

On Friday 25 October, a 41-year-old Mannum man was stopped on Adelaide Road and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.190.  Police checks revealed he was also unlicensed.  He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

A 35-year-old man from Leigh Creek was reported for drink driving after he recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.106 on Mannum Road, Northern Heights.  He lost his licence for six months and will be summonsed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

A 51-year-old Loveday man was reported for speeding and driving while disqualified on McKay Road, Glossop.  It will be alleged he was driving 115 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. He had his vehicle impounded for 28 days and will appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

Murray Mallee Highway Patrol detected a 20-year-old Mawson Lakes man driving a vehicle on Sturt Highway at 173 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.  He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and an on the spot fine of $1997.

An 18-year-old Glenalta man was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of his provisional licence after he recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.110 when stopped for a mobile driver test on Angas Valley Road, Walker Flat.  He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

Murray Mallee Highway Patrol reported a 28-year-old woman from Kingston On Murray after she tested positive to drugs when stopped on the Sturt Highway, Berri. She received a three-month instant loss of licence and may be summoned to appear in Beri Magistrates Court pending forensic analysis.
