Over the weekend police stopped seven drivers committing traffic offences in the Murray Mallee region.
On Friday 28 March, Blanchtown Police reported a 26-year-old man from Morgan. It will be alleged that he was driving a vehicle on Gouge Street, Morgan whilst being suspended. He will be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
On Saturday 29 March, Murray Bridge Police reported a 35-year-old man from Murra Bridge. It will be alleged that he was stopped whilst driving a motor vehicle on Wattle Street when checks on his licence reveal that he was disqualified from driving. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in Murray Bridge court at a later date.
On Saturday 29 March, Police reported a 48-year-old woman from Sedan. It will be alleged that she was stopped whilst driving a motor vehicle on Angas Valley Road, Mount Pleasant, when she returned a positive result for illicit drugs. She was issued with a three-month loss of licence and may be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court pending forensic analysis.
On Sunday 30 March, Murray Bridge Police reported a 63-year-old man from Narrung. It will be alleged that he was stopped driving on Prince Highway, Tailem Bend. Checks on his licence revealed that he was suspended from driving. Police also located drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. He will be summoned to appear in Murray Bridge court at a later date.
On Sunday 30 March, Police reported a 59-year-old woman from Murray Bridge, a 37 year old man from Mannum and two 38-year-old men from Murray Bridge. It will be alleged they were all stopped in separate incidents when they all returned a positive result for drugs. They were all issued with a three-month immediate loss of licence and may be summoned to Murray Bridge Magistrates Court pending forensic analysis.
On Sunday 30 March, Blanchtown Police reported a 36-year-old woman from Evanston. It will be alleged that she was stopped whilst driving a motor vehicle on Sturt Highway, Blanchtown, when checks on her licence reveal that she was suspended from driving. Police searched her vehicle and allegedly located a small amount of drugs. She will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
On Sunday 30 March, Police reported a 30-year-old man from Murray Bridge. It will be alleged that he was driving a motor vehicle on Galway Avenue, Murray Bridge, when checks on his licence reveal that he is currently unlicenced. He will be summoned to attend Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
