Murray Mallee Police detected these recent traffic offences:

On Friday 7 February, police were conducting speed detection duties on Sturt Highway, Blanchetown. It will be alleged a 30-year-old man from Elizabeth East was travelling 93 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Police checks revealed he was disqualified from driving. The man was reported and will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Friday 7 February, a 46-year-old man from Wanbi was stopped by Police on Gratwick Road, Loxton. It will be alleged the driver submitted to a roadside driver test but refused to comply with directions by Police. Police conducted a search of the car locating cannabis and drug paraphernalia.  The driver was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence, and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Friday 7 February police reported a 25-year-old man from North Melbourne, Victoria for driving unlicensed. It will be alleged the man was driving a heavy vehicle on Princes Highway Tailem Bend.  Police checks revealed he did not have a heavy vehicle licence.  He will appear in court at a later date.

On Sunday 9 February police were conducting speed detection duties on Sturt Highway, Stockyard Plains.  It will be alleged a 19-year-old man from Fairview Park was travelling 162 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.  It's further alleged the driver produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.090.  Police checks revealed that the driver is a holder of a provisional licence.  The driver was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence, and the car was impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Sunday 9 February a 31-year-old female from Loxton was reported for drink driving. It will be alleged the woman was stopped by police on Edward Street and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.145.  She was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and will appear in court at a later date.

On Sunday 9 February police were called to Tailem Bend after reports a car was being driven by an intoxicated man.
Police attended Jervois Road locating two men in the car.
A 26-year-old man and 28-year-old man from Yumali refused to answer any questions from Police and were arrested.
Police will allege the 26-year-old man was the driver and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.171. He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence, and the car was impounded for 28-days.
The 26-year-old man was charged with fail to answer questions of identity of driver and drink driving.
The 28-year-old man was charged with fail to answer questions of identity of driver. Both men will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
