Police and students building relationships through fishing

Police and Murray Bridge High School students have teamed up to take part in a fishing experience at Hindmarsh Island last week.

On Tuesday 25 February, SA Police and students from Murray Bridge High School made their way to Sugars Island, Hindmarsh Island to take part in a fishing experience with RecFish SA.

ReFish SA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving recreational fishing experiences across SA.

It was a great opportunity for police and students to interact while learning about sustainable fishing methods, the importance of preserving local marine ecosystems and the role that recreational fishing can play in environmental conservation.

The five police officers and 10 students tried their best to catch the biggest fish. This activity provided the perfect platform to practice patience with enthusiasm while sharing some good yarns and laughs. Although no fish were caught, a great day was had by all.
