Police target public order offences in Berri

Six people have been arrested after a focus on anti-social behaviour in Berri.

Police have been targeting incidents on Vaughan Terrace, Berri such as drinking in a dry zone and disorderly behaviour.

Local officers have been conducting regular foot and mobile patrols in the area.

In the past two weeks there have been six arrests for offences including breach of bail and property damage in the area, such as a 46-year-old Berri man who has been arrested three times for breaching his bail by being on or in the vicinity of Vaughan Terrace.

Police have also issued two fines for drinking in a dry zone and one for disorderly behaviour in the same timeframe.

Anyone witnessing an offence such as these or any anti-social behaviour is asked to call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
