Update: Serious crash at Pompoota

Just before 1.30pm on Sunday 9 June, police and emergency services were called to Billabong Road, south of Ponde, after a three wheeled motorbike lost control and crashed.

The rider, a 45-year-old local man and his passenger, a 25-year-old man from Smithfield, were flown to hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries.

Billabong Road was closed to all traffic for nearly 3 hours but has since reopened.  The motorbike was towed from the scene.
