Traffic detections in Murray Mallee

Murray Mallee Police detected the following traffic offences in recent days.

On Friday 1 November, Waikerie Police detected a drink driving on Eggerton Road, Blanchetown.  The 49-year-old Blanchetown man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.179.  He was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

On Friday, a 24-year-old Murray Bridge man was stopped on Old Swanport Road, Murray Bridge.  Police checks revealed his car was unregistered and he was disqualified from driving.  He was reported and will face court at a later date.  His vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

On Friday, a 33-year-old Waikerie woman was stopped on Sturt Highway, Golden Heights.  She tested positive for drugs and was issued with a three-month instant loss of licence.  She may be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court pending forensic analysis.

On Saturday 2 November, police stopped a 46-year-old Coonalpyn man on Gollan Street, Tailem Bend for a mobile driver test.  The man failed to comply with the direction and was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days.  He will appear in court at a later date.

On Saturday, a 46-year-old Lameroo man was reported for driving while disqualified after being stopped on North Avenue, Lameroo.  He will appear in court at a later date.

On Sunday 3 November, a 45-year-old man from New South Wales recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.108 when stopped on Sturt Highway, Lyrup.  He was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.  He will appear in court at a later date.

On Sunday, a 48-year-old Loxton man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.226 on Edward Street, Loxton.  Checks revealed he was also breaching his probationary licence conditions.  He was reported and will appear in court at a later date.  He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.

On Sunday, a 30-year-old Loxton man recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.193 when stopped on Rudolph Street, Loxton.  Further checks revealed he is currently disqualified from driving and his vehicle was defected; however, the defect label had been removed.  He was reported and will appear in court at a later date.  He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

On Monday 4 November, Murray Bridge Police observed a vehicle driving erratically on Agricultural Drive, Murray Bridge and the driver did a sustained wheel spin.  Police reported the driver, a 21-year-old Murray Bridge man, and impounded his vehicle for 28 days.  He will appear in court at a later date.
