Three drink-drivers have been caught in the Murraylands over the weekend.
On Friday 10 January, police stopped a 24-year-old man from Barmera on Maddern Street, Berri for a random driver test. He returned a positive reading of 0.069 and was reported for drink-driving. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
On Friday 10 January , police stopped a 33-year-old male from Moorook while he was driving on the Sturt Highway at Blanchetown for a random driver test.
He returned a positive reading of 0.076. He was reported for drink-driving and will be summonsed at a later date to appear in Berri Magistrates Court.
On Saturday 11 January police stopped a 49-year-old woman from Paralowie while she was driving on Randell Street, Mannum. She underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.069. She was issued with an on-the-spot fine of $951 and 4 demerit points. She was further tested and returned a positive result for illicit drugs. She may be summonsed to Murray Bridge Magistrates Court for the drugs at a later date pending forensic analysis of her drug test.
