Visitors arrested after being caught with drugs in prison

Three people have been arrested after attempting to take illicit drugs into a correctional facility in Murray Bridge.

About 2pm, Saturday 9 November, police were called to the facility after reports a woman and two men were attempting to bring illicit drugs into the prison.

Police attended the facility and searched a vehicle belonging to the suspects and located an amount of methamphetamine and GHB.

A 21-year-old man from Salisbury North and a 33-year-old man from Happy Valley were charged with possession of a controlled drug. The 20-year-old female from Aldinga Beach was charged with introducing a drug into a correctional facility.

All were granted bail to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
