Arrest after robbery at Elizabeth

A boy has been arrested following a robbery at Elizabeth.

Just before 4pm on Thursday 13 March, police responded to reports of an assault which occurred opposite a shopping centre on Main North Road, Elizabeth.

A teenage boy reported that he had been assaulted by a group of four youths before stealing an amount of cash.

The victim received minor injuries as a result.

Police investigated the incident and on Saturday 15 March, police arrested and charged a 14-year-old boy with aggravated robbery.

He was bailed and will appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on the 2 May.

One of the other suspects is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with brown hair, slim build, and aged between 14-15 years. He was wearing a black 2 PAC t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black jacket.
