Car crashes into road train

A driver has had a lucky escape after a crash at Waterloo Corner this morning.

Just before1.15am, Friday 26 July, police and emergency services were called to Port Wakefield Highway, Waterloo Corner to reports a car had collied with a road train.

The driver of the Hyundai sedan a 33-year-old woman from Salisbury North was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where she will also undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

The driver of the road train was injured.

Investigation is ongoing to the cause of the crash.

Port Wakefield Highway was closed briefly but has since reopened.
