Drink driver blows 0.344 after crash at Elizabeth East

A drink driver lost his licence after crashing into another vehicle at Elizabeth East on Saturday night.

Police were called to a two-car collision on Midway Road, Elizabeth East just before 7pm on Saturday 12 April.

One of the drivers, a 36-year-old Craigmore man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.344 - nearly seven times the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

His vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the collision.
