Drink driver struggling to stay in his lane at Ridgehaven

About 8.30pm on Sunday 23 March, Northern District Police stopped a four wheel drive on Sunnyview Crescent after seeing it swerving all over the road.

The driver, a 52-year-old man from Ridgehaven, underwent a breath test which returned a result of 0.233.

He was reported for drink driving and driving under the influence and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The driver’s licence was disqualified on the spot for 12 months and his car was impounded for 28 days.

Police remind the community that drink driving will not be tolerated and Police are active to ensure that those choosing to drink and drive will be caught.
