Just after midnight on Friday 15 November, patrols saw a Mercedes Benz sedan travelling at speed on Waterloo Corner Road at Burton.
Patrols attempted to stop the car however it continued south on Waterloo Corner Road and then west onto Diment Road. Northern patrols followed the car at a distance onto Heaslip Road and then Penfield Road before PolAir took over.
The car was tracked as it travelled onto Gawler River Road travelling at speeds of up to 180km/h. PolAir members saw the sedan pull up at a Two Wells property and enter a shed.
Northern District patrols were quickly on scene and swiftly arrested the driver. He was searched and found to be in possession of an amount of methamphetamine.
The driver, a 32-year-old man from Paralowie was charged with numerous offences including dangerous driving to escape a police pursuit, driving at an extreme speed, driving whilst being suspended and drug offences.
He was refused police bail and will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court today (Friday 15 November).
