A man will face court today after being stopped in a stolen car at Elizabeth.

Just before 11am on Monday 17 March, police were patrolling along the Elizabeth Way when they spotted a stolen Toyota Prado. The Prado had been stolen from Port Wakefield on Sunday night.

Police stopped the Prado on Langford Drive without incident and arrested the driver.

While searching the man, officers located a round of ammunition in his possession.

A 52-year-old man from Adelaide was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving unlicenced and possessing ammunition. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
