Man assaulted during Parafield Gardens break-in

About 2.55am today (Tuesday 29 October), a man and woman were in their house in Fern Court when three men forced their way into the property and demanded money.

One of the suspects was armed with a metal pole. The male occupant tried to grab the pole from the man when he was stabbed in the right hand by one of the other suspects.

The suspects then fled the scene.

The victim, a 53-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect with the metal pole was wearing dark clothing and all three men had their faces concealed.

Police believe the incident was not random.
