A man has been arrested for numerous traffic offences after being tracked by PolAir at Ingle Farm overnight.
About 11pm on Friday 31 January, police were patrolling along Main North Road at Para Hills West when they spotted a Holden sedan with obscured number plates. Checks on the registered owner showed that he was disqualified from driving.
When police attempted to stop the car, it sped off. PolAir was overhead at the time and tracked the vehicle through backstreets until it stopped on Mary Leonard Drive, Ingle Farm. The driver ran off but was found shortly after hiding in a nearby park.
A 55-year-old man from Para Hills West was arrested and charged with traffic offences including driving disqualified, driving at a dangerous speed and driving contrary to a defect notice. He is expected to be bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
