A man has been arrested after a serious crash in Smithfield overnight.
Just before midnight Tuesday 14 January, emergency services were called to a T-bone crash at the intersection of Main North Road and Uley Road. A Ram utility that had been travelling south allegedly went through a red light and collided with a Toyota Yaris that had been travelling east.
The driver of the Yaris, a 28-year-old Parafield Gardens man was taken to hospital with serious but thankfully non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ram, a 36-year-old Gawler West man, was breath tested allegedly returning a positive result of 0.063.
He was arrested and charged with cause serious harm by dangerous driving. He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 26 February.
