Stolen car dumped at Yattalunga

A stolen car was dumped down a gully at Yattalunga overnight.

Police were called to Riggs Road, Yattalunga about 2.15am on Wednesday 16 October by reports of a crash.

A stolen car had been abandoned and then rolled about 200 metres down an embankment into a creek.

There was no one with the vehicle when police arrived, however witnesses heard two or three voices before the crash and another vehicle leaving the area.

The Toyota Camry had been stolen from a rideshare driver by two teenagers in Salisbury on Monday afternoon.

Crime scene investigators will attend to examine the wrecked car this morning.

It will be assessed during daylight hours if it will be possible to tow it out of the gully.
