Suspicious fire at Elizabeth Park house

About 12.45am on Monday 10 March, police were called to Sullivan Road after reports of smoke coming from the window of a home.

Patrols arrived on scene and the vacant house was completely engulfed in flames.

Occupants of neighbouring properties were evacuated as a safety precaution.

MFS crews extinguished the blaze however the house was destroyed by the fire.

Fortunately, no one was inside the property at the time and there were no reports of injuries.

Crime Scene investigators will attend the scene this morning to try to determine the cause of the fire.
