Suspicious grass fire at Mawson Lakes

Just before 6pm on Sunday 12 January police and fire crews were called to Metro Parade to reports of a grass fire.

The blaze was extinguished by fire crews and burnt approximately one kilometre along the side of the railway.  Thankfully no one was injured and no damage was caused to property.

Police suspect the fire may have been deliberately lit.

Investigations are continuing.
