A teenager was arrested after allegedly breaking into cars in the Brahma Lodge area overnight.
Police were called to Kent Avenue, Brahma Lodge just after 2am on Sunday 13 April by reports a resident had caught two kids in his car.
The teens split up and the caller followed one of the teens through the back streets until a patrol arrived.
CCTV footage from the victim’s home showed the boy had been in possession of a knife but had discarded it.
The 14-year-old Elizabeth East boy was arrested and charged with illegal interference and carry offensive weapon. He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 20 June.
Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Cooper but did not locate the other teenager.
