Teen arrested in Craigmore

Just before 8am Friday 17 police were called to a home on Washington Avenue after the occupant reported that someone was asleep in his granny flat.

When police arrived the suspect ran from the premises jumping fences through neighbouring back yards. Northern patrols cordoned the area quickly locating and arresting the suspect in Lisbon Road.

The 16-year-old Kilburn boy was arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court today.

Police are investigating if the teen is linked to an incident involving a stolen Subaru overnight.
