Teens caught after rolling stolen car

03 Mar 2025 2:15pm

Four teenagers have been arrested following a hit and run collision and then crashing a stolen car in the northern suburbs earlier today.

About 11.45am on Monday 3 March, Northern District patrols were called to Main North Road at Blakeview after reports a Kia Sportage collided into the rear of another car and then drove off without stopping.

The Kia Sportage was reported stolen from a Huntfield Heights address in the early evening on Sunday 2 March.

A patrol spotted the stolen car travelling eastbound on Hayles Road and followed it for a short time before police lost sight of it on Adams Road.

Police arrived on scene shortly after the car crashed and rolled on a dirt road off Adams Road.

The four occupants of the car, a 15-year- old girl from Blakeview, a 17-year-old girl from Brahma Lodge, a 14-year-old from Banksia Park and a 14-year-old from Huntfield Heights were all taken to hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Upon release from hospital, they will likely be charged with illegal use, failing to stop at a crash and other driving offences.
