Police are investigating after a number of cheesecakes were stolen from a Salisbury business overnight.

At 3.10am Friday 21 June, Salisbury patrols were alerted to a report of persons breaking into a John Street cake shop. The owner alerted police after seeing persons inside the shop on CCTV cameras.

Patrols together with Police Dog Chaos attended the scene and located a smashed front window. PD Chaos led police to the Salisbury Interchange where police located two boys.

PD Chaos located two backpacks in nearby bushes containing cheesecakes stolen from the John Street business.

Two 15-year-old teens from Salisbury North and Eyre were arrested for aggravated serious criminal trespass and the investigation is continuing. The teens have been bailed to the Elizabeth Youth Court on Friday 2 August.
